What Day is It??

Monday

So today is Monday. That's what I'm thinking anyway! Just woke up. Did my typical routine. Trip to the John, then downstairs for my morning cup of Joe! My kids are moving around. One heads out the door for school and the others are getting ready to leave for work. They're talking and saying things. I'm trying to respond as best I can. Haven't had my coffee yet, so I mumble something or other, and as I'm walking back up the steps to my home office (my bedroom) I mention that the day is a “typical Monday”. They do not respond and continue whatever it is they're doing. Which is normal. They often ignore me. Get into my room and my husband is moving around, doing his thing, so I repeat myself: “It's Monday and I got to do …. blah blah blah yadda yadda yadda.” My husbands pauses for a moment and asks, “It's Monday??” Wondering why he asked me, I thought for a moment … then for a few more moments … and then a few more moments. Finally, the light bulb in my head went off! It's Thursday!!! Ah well! Whatever day it is … it's a typical day for me!! Since it's Thursday might as well share a throwback song!

I've become terrible remembering what day it is. I have been wandering around thinking it is Friday and wondering why Blacklist isn't on tonight

How is Blacklist? I hear lots of folks love it but I've never seen a show. If it's really popular Netflix may get it and then I can binge watch.

@cmoneyspinner I like James Spader and Blacklist appeals as there are times I am sure that is exactly how the world works! It is rather dark

@Ronrybs - I liked James Spader but I have only seen him in movies. Never actually watched him in a TV show. Maybe I'll out Blacklist on my watch list.

I have that problem too, especially now that my husband is retired and my son is home schooled, I can't remember what day it is many times.

I think it has something to do with me working at home. The day of the week doesn't really matter so much as when I used to work outside the home.

@cmoneyspinner Even when I wasn't working outside the home, when my husband and son had to be at work/school, I found it easier to know what day it was. Now I am constantly thinking, "what day is it?" Did it today already.

@Carmelanirel2 - I have to laugh at my husband. Knowing what day is not a problem. He's slow when it comes to recognizing that a new month has started. “What? It's already September??!!!”

Now that I don't work outside the home anymore, I do get mixed up. I used to know by what was on TV, but now I hardly ever watch any show when it's actually on - so I don't know what the heck is up. I commisserate with you about this schedule thing. AND by the way, love that song, thanks for sharing it!

Being retired, we sometimes need a discussion and a think about what day it is. :)
