Our Dog Snores So Loud !

I was puzzled when I went to the kitchen, where the garage is near and where our local dogs are sleeping , one late night , weeks ago. That’s because I heard someone snoring so loud yet father-in-law wasn’t snoring when I passed by his room on my way to the kitchen . So, I told my husband about it when I went back to the bedroom . He laughed and told me it’s Max , one of the two local dogs we have at the garage . From then on , I would be amused whenever I hear Max snore in the early morning while I prepare breakfast. One time , when I asked my husband if I snore as loud as Max , he said yes laughingly. I tickled him much to his surprise, as my retaliation . So he said “ No , Max snores louder than you of course .” “ That’s better “ , I jokingly told him to which we both laughed out loud . How about your dog or your cat ? Does it snore ?

One of my cats snores quite loud which is funny to listen to. He is a bit overweight so I think may be why he snores. According to my fiance I snore quite loud too but he doesn't think its cute and funny. lol

Really your cat snores too . Yes, i think it also has to do with their being overweight . So we both snore . My hubby snores when he is tipsy or when so tired from work .

So your dog too . Is he a big dog ? Ours is of medium built . I think it might have to do with the size of a dog ?

My cat is old now and sometimes she does snore loudly. It makes me feel bad knowing its a sign of her getting old as she never did it when she was young.

@SIMPLYD Hahaha no she was fatter years ago she would not stop eating and would vomit. She was huge so I wouldnt leave a dish out for her to eat anytime from them on. She lost weight and has a hanging stomach.

I can now say that it is normal for a dog to snore , just like humans . I thought our dog is weird that he snores loudly . From comments here , i now know it's a natural thing to do for dogs .

@nanette64 Ha ? Did he intentionally hit your nose while you were snoring ? Now , i believe that it's Loud because even your cat puts his paw on your mouth .

@SIMPLYD I had my nose broken so many times by my now deceased spouse that I can't breathe correctly. I once had one of my cats get up on my chest while I was sleeping and put his paw in my mouth. I think he was telling me to shut the heck up.
