I've always loved to read the Garfield toons. Such a funny cat and of course I thought it was just for the fun of it ........ guess what, I think Max was the protype for Garfield, this cat lives to eat.
It's been a week now since the last time he's gotten himself sick, I just soften the kibble for him and he doesn't eat as fast. Whew, what a relief.
Ok, now I have to ask all you cat pros out there, how the heck do I keep him from trying to keep Meetzee from getting anything to eat?

I have the same problems with my two cats. The older one Harley is always starving. He will eat his own and then he will push Merle out of the way and eat his two. Now Harley is a fat cat and Merle is quite lean. lol Merle likes to eat when he feels like it but Harley likes to eat no matter when it is. I have to keep an eye on them all the time when I go to feed them because the whole time Harley is eating his food he has his eye on Merle's. Merle will never eat out of Harley dish and Harley knows this so sometimes as soon as I feed them he pushes Merle away from his dish and tries to eat his so that he can have his own when he is done!

That's exactly what these two do. Neither one is really lean though so that's probably a good thing.
I tried to feed Meetzee in a separate room but she got upset when I did that and wouldn't eat at all. I guess I have a lot to learn about these two.

my boo is a big pig.tries to eat everyone else's food before his own.and that includes people food.
i would say either get a food dispenser with a timer or feed the other pet in a closed room.

I like the timer idea, I haven't tried that yet. Funny about the separation thing though, Meetzee his partner in crime gets worried about him and won't eat.
This guy is a glutton to the max, he eats til he's sick then wants more food. I just have to wonder what ma did to him.

I did try that but Meetzee got upset when she couldn't see Max and didn't eat at all, I tell you this whole bond thing they got going is baffling.
This morning I put the 2 bowls out but just a little apart and she did eat a little before Max decided he had to eat hers. I guess they've been doing this for a long time.
