what is the best use for old clothes?

I have a ton of old clothes. I donate some of them and use some of them for cleaning around the house but there are always some which cannot be used for either. Any innovative ideas on using old clothes?

Of course it depends which kind of clothes. On the web you can find plenty of creative ideas to recycle old clothes.

I always donate old clothes that can be donated, but if they are to messed up or clothes that you just don't donate (under clothes, etc.) then I just get rid of them. I know some people will use them to patch up other clothes or to make clothes for dolls.
