The Cactus Blossoms from earlier this year. I'll be seeing them again in October. Photo taken by and the property of FourWalls.

If you've been following my concert escapades this year you may have noticed a dramatic drop off in the past two months. I've been to two shows in the last two months (the Quebe Sisters and Robbie Fulks). Fear not, that lull ends tonight. It's going to be a very busy next six weeks to compensate for those quiet days! Tonight it's NRBQ and Los Straitjackets. Tuesday it's Dale Watson. Then it's Robbie Fulks, Webb Wilder, Paul Thorn, John Hiatt, Robbie again, the Flat Five, Nick Lowe, the Cactus Blossoms, Special Consensus, and John Hiatt again! It's time to get back in the concert venues!

NRBQ's genesis was right here in Louisville, y'know. That was back when the Q stood for Quintet instead of Quartet.

After such a quiet time you must be ready to hit the venues again with renewed energy! :)
