Good morning / day / evening fellow Mylotters! How was your weekend? Mine was full of activities. Bonding with my Pinoy family, dancing and walking to the beach with swimming as the reward of almost 5 kilometers walk. Today, I will be making Lemongrass Insect spray. I have just cooked a handful of lemongrass and will let it stay for a few hours or until it is cold. Have you heard about lemongrass insect spray? I have found out a few days ago that the lemongrass spray that I made was killing the cockroach that came to my bathroom. I hate cockroach. How about you? Enjoy your new week

Lemongrass is what we called tanglad. Tanglad is what we use in cooking tinola @magallon. You can smell the difference as tanglad smells like citrus.

Fortunately we don't have roaches, but I used to make lemongrass tea and use it in cooking. I hope I didn't kill myself! Lol! I wish it would work on snakes and spiders!

I boiled a handfull of lemongrass and use the lemongrass water mixed with a few drops of lavender, orange and tea tree essential oils and put the mixture in an empty small bottle spray. ThĂ nks for your interest @hereandthere

I'm glad you found a solution for cockroaches. I hate them as well. I haven't seen any since I moved back to Wisconsin about 25 years ago.

No, I have never heard of lemongrass insect spray... Did you use just lemongrass or did you add other ingredients to the spray?

Besides the lemongrass water, I added 100% lavender, tea tree and orange essential oils @sishy.

Thankfully I've never had any cockroaches in my house - that would really freak me out. I'm glad you've found something that will kill them - horrible creatures.

I have never heard of lemongrass insect spray. It's pretty hard to kill a cockroach so it must be pretty potent.
