Old pictures I'd almost forgotten

Prickly Pear blossoms, I took this shot in the early 1990s, it's a 35mm film shot.

In 1986 I was renting a property that had an abundance of prickly pear on the edge of the fence line and at the time I was really big into photography only it was much more expensive back then. Film wasn't cheap and neither was the processing. I still miss the quality of 35mm film but I don't miss the expense. Do you have very many film shots that ypu've transferred to DVD? Are the shots better quality than digital?

I haven't had any old photos transferred to DVD but I probably should so that they can be preserved. I enjoy using a digital camera a lot more than I did the 35mm.

I simply love to take pictures, film or digital, but I have to admit I was much more active in the 1980s and 1990s than I am these days.

The only 2 brands I know anything about are Nikon and Canon @simone10 I own 3 Nikons, one is a 35mm film camera the others are digital. I prefer Nikon but a friend of mine swears by Canon.

@rebelann I really need to get a good camera with a proper zoom but I just don't know which would be a good one. I've read reviews and it just confuses me more and of course, there is also the price that I to work with.

No but I am going to think about digitalizing all of my old photos, that would make sense in my world.

That's a great shot of the prickly pear. If I want to use one of my old photos I just take a photo of it and transfer it onto my computer that way.

Edible prickly-pears? Colourful, juicy and quite tasty, if a little seedy...

I've never eaten them but there are those here who eat them, mostly I've heard of the jelly they make from the buttons the flowers leave when they're done blooming.

I take a lot more photos with the digital camera than I ever did with the cameras that required film. I think a good digital camera takes some awesome photos.

Yeah, some of them are pretty good. The only reason I want film quality is so I can have any good shots enlarged but I haven't done that in years.
