Oh, fun...

I was sitting here after posting my other discussion when I heard a crash, squealing of tires, more squealing of tires another crashing sound...
I ran outside, half thinking to see my one or more of neighbors' car wrecked. The guys were out in the street looking down toward the street that leads to the major road near my house.
Turned out that a truck had failed to make a corner, hit an old station wagon - taking out his right front tire in the process. He had barely missed my next door neighbor's SUV making the corner and nearly hit my across the street neighbor's car and his friend's car that were parked in front of my house. He had then run the stop sign at the end of the street, turning toward the major street.
A couple of neighbors went after him in their cars, while others were calling the police. I had left my phone inside, so I didn't bother doing it.
The "new" neighbor in the house formerly owned by the crazy lady was outside with family members building a new fence, they saw part of it over on the other street since they are on the corner.
My across the street neighbor who is nearly always outside, was, again outside, with his friends, so they saw the part in front of my house and turning onto the street toward the major street.
One of the guys who went after him, came back and said that the truck had been abandoned at the Auto Zone a couple of blocks away and the driver was gone.
I hope the truck wasn't stolen.
Even if it had been, at least nobody was hurt.

Never a dull moment lol good thing nobody was injured. It was probably a stolen vehicle or a drunk driver. Hopefully they will catch him.

I hope they do too. The neighbors who saw it said he looked Hispanic. Since they are Hispanic, I'm sure they aren't being racist. I'm not sure I'd think to look at the driver if I were worried about my car, but in their case, he nearly hit the other people's cars.

Wow, yes thank goodness no one was hurt. Hope police can get information from security cameras.
