When I wrote about the colors being the color of the month with the soscrappy blog color challenge, I had several who commented saying to show the blocks when they were done. So, here they are.
I think they came out very pretty. I could have made more, but ran out of batting that I had cut for the project.
I look forward to finding out what the color will be in October so that I can make more.
When I was visiting blogs of others who are doing the soscrappy blog color challenge, I ran across a few that talked about October being the last color month. They all stated that she doesn't give a color in November or December so that we can finish a quilt with the blocks we've made throughout the year.
I've been following the blog for a few years, but never have I made it to work on things ALL year. This information was new to me. If it's true then I think I will go back to months I missed this year and do a couple of those colors in November and December.
I'm looking forward to having several color sets done so that I can start putting the quilt top together. I'm trying to decide what color I want to use for the sashing. I like black because it stands out and it's easier to sew black on black and not be able to see that all my sewing isn't straight. I seen a black in the clearance aisle at the quilt shop that has a light design on it. I am thinking of going with that if I can round up the money I need to buy it during the shop hop this weekend. If not, then hope it doesn't get snatched up by someone else during the shop hop.

Love it! Those are great colors. I have gold curtains, and I was actually thinking lately about getting a rose and gold bedspread. Just enough gold to pick up the curtain color. Maybe I'll put a bedspread on my Christmas wish list. Don't really need to spend the money so maybe Santa will do it, lol. You do beautiful work. The black does sound nice.

I'm pretty upset that I've spent money other places and as of right now I have NOTHING to spend while @GardenGerty and I go on the shop hop.

How to make these blocks is the last post that I did on blogborne....or was this my second post there? Either way, it's one of the two tutorials that I put there.
