This is a post for all those that have so many postcards that they dont know what to do with them. First of all, they are traveling snapshots - bringing far distant places right to your doorstep without you applying for any passport or visa. Therefore turn them into something people will enjoy every time they visit you. I have my postcards laminated on a A4 lamination sheet - it only costs me 60 cents a sheet, which takes up to 4 postcards at a time (keep a margin for the binding) so i hope it is affordable for everyone as well. Then when I have about 20 sleeves, I have them bound together with a metal spring binder. This is also very inexpensive. I have 4 books already and another one almost half way. They flip easyly and everyone finds such pleasure in seeing all the postcard snap shots as well as the stamps that are visible on the reverse side. Ta Da - your own coffee table books. @Jeanniemaries @just4him and any others that are getting plenty of mail.

no the binding doesnt need to be fancy - punch holes in the side and some string would do as well

@Inlemay I have a tool that seals them in plastic sleeves. I can get three or four in a sleeve and they fit into a binder, so you can see both sides. I'm thinking maybe having them bound with the metal spring binder will cut down on the thickness. I think it's important to see both sides of the postcard.

I would have thought that it would be easier to use loose leaf pocket pages for an album. Of course the overall result would be pretty much the same.

absolutely - its easier but I am always afraid of the wear-and-tear of the pocket leaf books

@Inlemay The wear and tear should be negligible since the pages are clear plastic.

I love the fact you can see the front and the backs, the backs with the stamps are often my favorite parts

@Inlemay so are they laminated IN it, or in little clear sleeves?

That is why I chose the lamination - so that the whole postcard can be seen and appreciated - stamp, message and front picture

That's a great idea and an ideal solution to what to do with postcards.
