It's Taking Longer Than We Expected

When we talked to the tree people before they started taking down the rest of our broken tree they though it would be no problem. They said it would only take about 3 hours to take it down.
Well, we are on our second day now, 10 hours into the take down and they finally have finished. Now all they have to do is cut up the big pieces of tree trunk and get the branches out of here.
I know I am thrilled it is almost over and so are they. They kept running into problems. We lost various plants, a handmade bird house, a bird feeder and a birdbath. And...a good portion of our fence.
I can't wait until the yard is back into some semblance of order.
Sooooo...how has your day been?

@celticeagle absolutely once everything is out of the yard - the debris, that is. we will be able to take care of the rest n no time.

@nanette64 when we were looking for someone to take down the rest of our tree, we looked for someone who was licensed and insured. We didn't want to take any chances.

@epiffanie I hated that they were destroyed. Now I am thinking of the fun I will have picked out new ones.

@HazySue When we had our taken down for free we had to clean up the mess, but it was worth it - I should say my husband cleaned it up LOL

@AbbyGreenhill if we had gotten our tree taken down for free my hubby would have gladly cleaned up. It is not cheap to have a tree taken down.

It sounds like they didn't bring the right equipment in to do the job right the first time. Although we don't have any decorations in our back yard, our tree that was taken down recently was done quicker than yours and it was our whole, 100ft tree. It took less than five hours. The only thing we have to fix is putting in some grass seed. They gave a discount for the ruts and brought some dirt in to fill the dents, but the rest is up to us.
