Last week, my hubby told be that my 82 years old client called in our home in Germany. I was a care giver to this man before I came home to the Philippines. I worked for him 4 hours a week. When I stopped working for him he was so sad and told me I can come back to him for work when I am back. For the meantime he has a new care giver while I am away . He told me before I left that it was not a problem as I have to take care of my 82 years old father too when I am home in the Philippines.
Now, I never expected that he would call. He is a typical German in his age who always complain about anything what is happening in Germany. When he called, he asked my hubby when I will return home because he doesn't like his new care giver. He lives alone with his cat in his apartment. He has 3 children but no time for him to visit. I pity that old man and always listened to what stories he told me. Mostly before and after the second world war.
Anyway, time is so fast and 2 mini jobs are waiting for me in Germany. The photo above is the cat of the old man.

That is so sad that his children don't spend time with him .. We have our 90 years old father in-law every second week .. He spends 4 days with and I make sure I cook him some especial dishes twice a day .. He is very grateful .. not many people here would do that .. But I think it's a responsibility we need to do for elderly family members..

You are very kind @epiffanie. Yes, not all people are doing that. I would have done that if my in-laws were still alive. We Filipinos, although are living most of our lives in other countries, are still loyal to our culture and traditions especially in taking care of our elder parents.

I thin your father is more important. I feel sorry for him though.

Yes, it feels good @jaboUK. Indeed, it is a pity. I could not imagine my 82 years old father living alone at home and so I see to it that he has companion who can take care of him. Anyway, Filipino children always take care of their elder parents. I will be back next year in Spring as planned if everything is ok or else I have to fly early.

While you are busy caring for your father, someone in Germany is also missing the way you cared for him. It is but usual for us to care so much even for people we don't know due to professionalism that comes with the job; but it is good you are still here in the Philippines to care for your father.

Yes, it is good that I am here @acelawrites. I wish my mother is still with us too so I could take care of them both.

i'm glad he has a cat to keep him company.
yes, massage therapists have told me that there are clients that follow their favorite therapists even when they move on to other spas.

I am glad about that to @hereandthere. At least he had someone to talk to. I agree with you about clients following their massage therapists wherever spas they go. That is what I called loyal.
