October is full of special dates to remember but the one that is dear to me is my Fathers birthday. The 5th. I was packing out the eggs the other day and noticing how beautiful and brown the whole tray was. My dad would only eat a brown shelled eggs, for what reason, I forgot to ask. Have there ever been moments in your life when you thought of something and wished you had asked the person in their living years? Brown eggs - that is one I would love to know. Maybe someone has an answer to why a brown egg would be preferred over a white one?

Only that I wished I had asked m y mom about her mother. ?She lost her mom when my mom was just eleven years old. I wish'I had asked what she was like too late now as my moms gone too. I also wondered why some people want only brown eggs I sure do not know either.

Also my husband want brown eggs and there is no reason, he likes the color more. My grandmother grew hens for eggs. The difference of the egg shell is in the Chicken. In general, white-feathered chickens lay white eggs, and reddish-brown-feathered chickens with red earlobes lay brown eggs. The taste (if they come from the same far) is identical.

@Inlemay I do not care about the color of the shells, but I care about what the hens eat, that makes the difference in taste.

There are so many things I wish I had asked when I had the chance. Never realized how precious all those times were or all the stories they use to tell.

@Inlemay that's is great that you do that. My children are adults now but they never seem to ask too much about the past.

Daughter's baby shower is on the 2nd and her birthday is on the 9th, she is my youngest and will turn 20. Lots of regrets always on things you wish you had said to someone before they passed.
