Haiti became the victim of hurricane Mathew and took away about 1000 lives at a sweep. Earlier in 2010 the earthquake has taken the lives of about 80,000 people. The most distressing aspect of Haiti is that the rampant corruption prevailing in the Government. It has reached the highest point. The aid allocated to the earthquake victim was released some 6 years back and this has not reached the targeted group and it is still on its way. We do not know it needs still how many years. The people are starving and the deaths due to starvation are on the increase. In spite of the above situation. there is no one to pay attention to this isolated country. Though the people who want to make a protest against the corrupt practices of the officials in the Government their voice is not reaching the concerned people. Their voice is being snubbed well inside the box only. It is becoming possible just because the sufferers are not having the knowledge of French to ventilate their grievances globally. The French are paying a deaf ear to the suffering of the people of Haiti. Now the hurricane Mathew has removed the sufferings of these innocent people and has given them eternal peace. The so-called civilized countries on the globe should at least pay attention to the miseries of these people and save them from hunger and starvation .

So in the end, it is again the innocents that lost lives and corrupt lot lived. How is this a fair justice?

Going through government agencies never seems to work, especially not in Haiti. I know of small groups of church people who have helped as they can but there is little they can do in the events of this magnitude.

It is a shame that that country seems to be always in hard times. And now with the hurricane.

It's really frustrating knowing that we would love to help and the aid doesn't go to the right place.

It is definitely the Haitian governments fault and the people should rise up and overthrow their government @shivamani10 . Billions of dollars from around the world have been sent to Haiti and none of it has gone to the people.
