Today he would have been 78 years old.

I just recieved a link from one of my friends where there´s a biography of my husband who was a pro soccer player when he was young.
It made me shed some tears. It´s so sweet that his club still remembers him.
He died when he was 61 years of age. In that page I read online they talked about what a good soccer player he was. He was part of the national team for several years.
But what I remember is that he was a wonderful man during his whole life.
He did not want to have big birthday parties, but I made an awesome party for him in his last year and he had all the fun in the world.
He died 16 years ago and I still miss him. And his friends still remember him.

The football club where he played feels that those years were the best of the club. They called them the blue ballet (Blue is the colour of their shirt).

What was your husband's name?
Believe it or not I am a bit of an authority on South American football of the 60 ,s and70,s..
Which club sides did he play for.
Great men and great footballers will always be remembered.
I bet it did make you shed some tears and no wonder

My husband´s name was Humberto (Beto) Donoso. He played a long time for the best soccer club here Universidad de Chile. Le went to England for the 1966 world cup although he did not play.

@saulgoodman I was never jealous of another woman. But I would not have dared ask him to chose between the football and me.

It is obvious that you loved him. It is so nice to hear someone who loves and honours their spouse.

I was very lucky to have him. I don´t think that one deserves a good or a bad partner although we can do our best to have a good marriage. But luck plays an important role. I was married to the best.
