I had bought about a month ago my first pair of Skechers with memory foam. I went to a small shop and they only had one pair of shoes my size, or rather a bit more than my size. I bought them and discovered that the "memory foam" was wonderful.
But the shoes were not good looking and I later knew why when someone told me that those were men´s shoes. No wonder!
So last Saturday I went with Claudia to a Skechers shop. They had all you could want. And I found a beautiful pair of gray shoes.
So I called Claudia and told her whether Vicente would want my almost new shoes. She was very happy as they are wonderful and quite expensive. We don´t know whether Vicente has my size yet, but if not, he can grow to fit them. Besides they are black which is the colour they need for their school uniform.
I was not going to use them after I bought these nice ones so everyone will be happy.

@Happy2BeMe My daughter was shocked on Saturday when she told me about a day of shopping with Sofia for her Halloween´s witches dress. Fortunatly, Sofía also decided that it was too much. So Claudia will buy a piece of back material and Sofía will make her own witche´s hat. Sofía doesn´t know yet that I bought a real witches broom for her that is hidden in my closet.

@marguicha yes that is very true. It is very costly to buy things for children.

I was wondering what to do with a pair of expensive Skechers that I would not use when I remembered Vicente. I knew those were man´s shoes so he will not have problems using them. Besides, I don´t think we´ll tell him that thgey were mine. I just saved the new shoes box and I´ll pack them as if they are new.

@marguicha Good idea, but wouldn't he recognize them as used if he looks at the sole?

Really good to hear that Vincente will get the use of your unwanted Sketchers.
After you mentioned Sketchers in a previous post I went and had a look at them as I had no idea what they are.
And they are expensive.
So what does the memory foam do?
Yet another gaping gap in my knowledge.

I learned that a short while ago. It is a very hard inner foam that shapes like your feet as you walk. So your feet are very comfortable with them. They are expensive, but I don´t mind spending in shoes as long as my feet don´t hurt. I have clothes that have over 20 years and are still in use. And I can have shoes for 5 or 6 years with no great problem. So, at the end, they are not that expensive.

Aye. The better quality more expensive items work out as better value in the long run on most things.
