Finally Watched The Rest Of It- Movie Review

I had "The Revenant" sent home on September 22 and am just now watching the ending. It's a rather long movie, about two and a half hours. About a trapper on a trapping expedition with a group of other trappers in the uncharted American wilderness back in the 1820's.
This movie is brutal, realistic, fast moving and at times just too much type of a film. Well done. Scenery is wonderful. Acting is impeccable.
Leonardo's character, Hugh Glass, is mauled by a bear and then left for dead. That scene is too graphic for my sensibilities and I watch bloody horror flicks. Indians are vicious and inhumane. The trappers are just as bad if not worse.
I wouldn't recommend this movie for family viewing.

It was a good movie... but I thought it was depressing... so many bad things happening to him all the way through the film...

@sueznewz2 ......I hate to watch a really good film and then be let down like that with a weird ending that leaves you feeling weird about the entire thing.

I watched this movie before and I think it is a boring movie for me. I had a high expectation to it at first since Leonardo won the Oscar Prize because of this movie. But I felt disappointed to it anyway. Of course this movie is not recommended for family. This is why most of the time we will watch cartoon movies when there is a child

I feel the same way. I was disappointed. Really expected a better storyline and the ending was weird.
