A family-sized (whatever that means!) pack of Galaxy Minstrels fell into my supermarket trolley last weekend. It wasn't just the special offer price that caught my eye... The slogan "Share and Enjoy" on this 232g bag of candy-coated chocolate buttons reminded me of one of the funniest, most incisively-written series of fiction books I have read, one of the best-produced BBC comedy radio series and a couple of cult-appreciated tv and film adaptations out there: Douglas Adams' 'The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy'. That same slogan is immortalized in this short clip, off YouTube - play it, listen and see if you can spot any similarities to corporate customer service functions you've had to deal with... not bad for a radio show from the early 1980s, eh?

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy was a game for Apple II computer by MobyGames. I surely still have the game somewhere.

@pgntwo I have found it, the diskettes are still the the box. My Apple II is on the upper shelf in our office. I am tempted to try to boot it.

Adams loved Apple computer products, so that makes sense. I don't remember that game though.

Hitchhilers! I have the radio and TV series and the film, always handy for when you need a bit of lift. Don't have them handy and you are first against the war come the revolution!
