before i start, yes,i know she should quit.but if you knew my ma,you'd know it ain't gonna happen.waste of breath, and i ain't argueing with her.
anyway..the drugs the doctors have ma on (and there's many) are..well..in the case of this new one,she has to go to bed after taking it,or she's a danger to herself.
i told her many years ago you get careless with the cigs i'm taking them away.
(we pay for them not her).sure enough, this new one made her start dropping them.
*yoink* aaaaaaand you're done.
sorry, the idea of you burning the house down while i'm sleeping doesn't appeal to me.
so,we got her ecigs,at best a good peacekeeper.she doesn't seem to mind it,plus we're not constantly having to buy her lighters.
and good piece of mind to me.
i swear when this woman passes on, she's gonna haunt me.
"iiiiiiii want a cigarette.....boo"

No one I know is still smoking, we all quit a long time ago. I think the e-cigs are a good idea for someone who refuses to quit...You will be lucky if lung cancer leaves her alone. A relative who quit years ago is gong through chemo for lung cancer at the age of 85... awful! way to live and die!

@scarlet_woman Our genes either save us or kill us, smoking is like playing Russian Roulette.

Oh, goodness. My mom used to smoke Raleigh's. She was able to quit and I am thankful looking back. I hope your mom continues to do okay with the ecigs.

It is hard to quit smoking. I smoked for 50 yers so I know. I was helped by a sort of poison called Chantix. And after more than 5 years since I quit, I still say that I´m a smoker who is not smoking.

@scarlet_woman I understand smokers. It´s not a bad habit but an addiction and it is very difficult to leave it. Now that I don´t smoke, I still have a terrace for my smoking friends. I´m not going to turn away from them.

I vaped and quit smoking for almost a year. I had two weeks to go and got so stressed I bought a pack. I want to start vaping again, but not until they solve the exploding battery problem.
