I have been going through my old Bubblews posts when I have the time and came across this one I thought was interesting:
I am often curious about the oddest things.
I have often wondered what the 'YKK' meant on my zippers. Today I found out. YKK is a Japanese company and they are the largest manufacturer of zippers in the world. They make more zippers than any other company on earth. The company started in 1934 and stands for Yoshida Kogyo Kabushikikaisha. They make about 7 billion zippers a year and have facilities in 71 countries. They make them in 1,500 styles and 427 colors.

I wonder why zippers are always the first to go on a piece of clothing? Now I know, made in Japan.
