Wondering about the history of Feng shui.
Feng shui (wind-water)
The Chinese way of harmonizing the human existence with ones surrounding environment. One of the Five Arts of Chinese Metaphysics it discusses the architecture terms of the "invisible forces" that bind the earth, man and universe together. During the cultural revolution in mainland China in the 1960's Feng shui was suppressed but has since increased in its popularity.
The earliest known use of the Feng shui was in the Hongshan and Yangshao cultures. Cosmography unearthed at Hangsham dates to around 3000 BC and appears on a piece of jade and resembles modern Feng shui. From earliest records graves and tombs also followed the rules of Feng shui.
Feng shui relied on astronomy to find the relationship between the universe and humans until the invention of the magnetic compass.
The golden ratio of Feng shui is in balancing the objects and elements which make up living beings surroundings and make up their environments. Through the use of objects such as fountains, candles, chimes, flower pots and vases this mathematical element is achieved.

In fact I don't really believe in Feng Shui. Some decoration of Feng Shui may make peopole feel comfortable. And therefore it may be also healthy for people. When people have good health and mood, the life will go well. This is more reasonable for me.

Oh, it is like anything else. I find such things interesting. Not necessarily believe.

@celticeagle Some people really believe in it, especially the rich people. Hard to believe that they can spend millions to invite a Fengshui master to decorate their house
They are already successful. So it doesn't matter how the decoration will be.

I could never go to the extreme of having my whole home done this way, but there is something to be said for a calm soothing flow
