Don't miss the moon tonight!

Tonight, for people in the US (actually around the world but it's still early evening where I am) we'll see a rare sight. The moon will be full, at the same time as it'll be at it's closest approach to earth, so it will appear larger at the same time. It's usually called a "Blood Moon" because the atmosphere tinges the sight and we see it so close to sundown. So we'll have something really good to look at tonight. This picture was from last night.

Definitely! It won't be as huge as some people say, but it'll be beautiful and should be a neat color.

@Rohvannyn Thank you. I look forward to looking at them. We're just coming out of an Autumn storm. Gusting winds and rain.

Exactly. Not much red at all. I was so tempted to play with the color balance. My actual picture of the hunter's moon was just brownish.
