Hyundai update: Hope this is the final outcome-

Earlier thoughts by me have been placed here in an effort to get opinions on what to do about our Hyundai, which was at that time at a dealer's location in North Carolina.
This Hyundai, and many other cars in the United States, was part of a recall. The recall had been repaired, but then seemed to fail. We learned after we were encouraged to have it towed to a dealer that the car would not be covered again.
If you have a recalled car, be aware that the dealer and the manufacturer do not want to fix it more than once. If Hyundai or any other car group can get away with this, will you smile and just pay for what you think you should not?
After many days online and on the phone complaining to all groups we learned about, our car was prepared. WAIT! Next, the dealer called to say there was more.
More? Hmmm-yes, someone in the service department said something was fried.
Because we are sure no one here wants to read a book about this, let us just say, more complaints (many more complaints) led to the Director of Operations calling me to ask me not to tow the car off the lot until he could get to the bottom of the issue.
A fuse-yes, just a fuse my fellow writers, was replaced and the car could be driven. Of course, the dealer did redo the issues that the car was originally recalled for, which included a valve-cover gasket leak that ruined the altenator, that caused the battery not to charge.
Heard enough? If you ever have a complaint and are not sure what to do, start by complaining to all who listen. Don't be afraid to mention that you have 'blogging' friends who are encouraging you to do more.
If you have a car issue, (or anything else) whether it be with Hyundai or another group, and you are not sure what to do, ask your writer friends. We tend to be aggressive enough to get more done at times.
Also, know that when it comes to cars problems, the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration wants to hear from you. For every complaint, there is a group to at least register your complaint.
The photo shared here is obviously not the Hyundai that had/has issues. In fact this lovely purple car is not mine!

It's better to have them recalled rather than suffer a customer humilation if a customer on that model suffers an accident.

I tend to look for the manufacturer online first. I get the contact information for the head office so that I can talk to someone before any dealers get wind of it, that way once I go to the dealer the issue has already been reported to the highest level and of course the dealer is gonna think I wasn't smart enough to do that. Oh, it doesn't always work, it always depends on the product in question.

Yeah-too bad they don't hold 8 passengers, which the Hyundai Veracruz does!

@PatZAnthony Yeah, it would not work for my household either, but it really looks good!

I hope that this is the end of your troubles with the dealer. I know it is stressful.

Yes, it is stressful. If not for my humble skills as a writer, speaker, researcher, this experience would have cost me a ton of money.
It is terrible that some go through these things and have to PAY for something that is not their fault.

Amazon did not refund $ owed to us for a product that did not work and was returned. There are complaints now that they sell counterfeit items.
Remember SGolis from Bubblews? She shared on Facebook that copies of her art reproduced on pillows were for sale on Amazon. Many of us complained to Amazon, but no one seems to hear us.

Yes-the cars that are not fixed could be a danger to others.

It appears that they didn't want to fix it because recall requires them to not get paid for the services.
