Sometimes doing things on websites isn't as fun as workin in Excel

Just played around with a photo I had in my files from years ago.

Oh sure, no one's gonna pay me for the work I did but boy did I have fun. Well, to be honest, I fell a sleep a couple hours ago. I had made some spaghetti with a tomato sauce loaded with onion and mushrooms and totally over ate. I guess that is why I got sleepy. A little while ago I finally woke up and started to play some more. There is just so much ya can do with a photo on Excel and today I was in the mood to play. Oh, just to be fair I did go outside and chase Ally around for a while I can't just ignore her, right? I will be playin around with another shot I took but the colors in that one is different. Do you ever use Excel?

I use excel all the time to keep track of my amounts in mlot mostly, but what I want to know is HOW do you manipulate photos with excel. I looked it over and can't see where to start. And what was the photo on this post to begin with?

@rebelann I picked a photo and changed the shape and color. How do I get rid of the grid lines for sharing? I started with this image and it became another one I'll post below if that's where it goes.

@MarshaMusselman It doesn't save to an image file and that's probably my problem but I'm not sure how it will come over so here goes. I don't see how to get it from an excel file format to an image.

@rebelann I got the cells eliminate, but I have a line through a part and don't know how to get rid of it. I also ended up saving a screen shot of it and then saving it to a jpeg that way. It's not complete, obviously, but further along enough for you to see. I'm sure I won't remember much of what I figure out with this, unless I end up using it a lot.

I'd been at the balloon fest near Wet N Wild in Anthony TX years ago when one was over head and I caught this photo.
Ahhhh, as our friend cerrios likes to do, nah, I hadn't thought to do that but maybe it would be fun to see if anyone could guess. I guess I should post the picture I used to create this pointy pic. Next time I'll make the creation a little easier on the eyes but I am glad you think it's cool.

It's a balloon @crazyhorseladycx I took this shot about 17 years ago when the balloon fest was held at Wet N Wild in Anthony TX ..... got outta my car and shot that then cropped out just the balloon part. It was right over head, good thing the sun was still in the east.

Despite knowing about the feature, editing images in Excel is something that I never even consider. I am far happier using Photoshop for that type of task.

@rebelann I am a lover of Excel, but use it solely for spreadsheets.

Thank you. Not everyone is into computers or business applications but I got hooked because of my former job. Now that I'm retired I can play with it.

When I still worked I used it to create letters, memos and spreadsheets then when the appraisers would bring in photos of houses I was taught how to correct the dates on the photos, so many people including me never got the year on those cameras correct so I had to fix the year and make it look like a part of the photo.

Not all spreadsheet aps will give you the ability to manipulate photos, Excel does which is why I like it.
