Is it safe to access our entertainment websites now? (A DDOS attack today)

I didn't hear about it until just now. Apparently sites like netflix, amazon, spotify and twitter were DDOS attacked. I haven't yet tried to get onto my firestick where I have access to amazon instant video, netflix, hulu, acorntv and starz.
I just came across this article on it but it was updated two hours ago.
Anyone able to access any of the aforementioned sites? (The attack was focused on places East of the Mississippi so I am really directing this to any on the East Coast of the US).

@ScribbledAdNauseum I wanted to tell that this attack was probably just a mean to an other end than to only make unavailable large sites like Twitter or Netflix.

And now it is off again. I guess the issue is not resolved.

@AkoPinay It's only affecting the East Coast of the US at the moment.

I found the "host" company that was reallyu being attacked and have followed their updates. It seems it's all said and done now. Let's hope it stays that way. I hadnt' heard that PSN was attacked.

@ScribbledAdNauseum Yeah, it was apparently targeted as well. It seems to be a relatively common target for these types of attacks.

@yukimori I have no words because targeting entertainment services is both sad and genius.

This is the host service to alot of the entertainment places that have gone down. So far it's resolved... I hope.

Yes, it was over this afternoon as far as I know. It took my work down for at least four hours!

THere were a total of around three attacks from what I can gather. I haven't yet attempted accessing any of my entertainment websites yet but the main hub site says it's been fixed.

@Sasquatchy I don't envy you. Fielding customer calls, regardless of complaint or asking for help, just isn't something I could ever do.

@ScribbledAdNauseum I had to work through 2 of them fending off customers who use our site. It is DDoS so you can try your sites all you want, it will work or not. No harm to you.
I'm soooooo glad I'm not there for the third one, the second one was brutal!

Glad it wasn't widespread then.
