I mentioned in one of my posts or responses that it was my father's birthday yesterday.
He did not make any extravagant request for his birthday, instead he just wanted to go to St.Peregrine Church and eat Chocs to Go chicken.I intended to buy him a cake but he insisted on Chocs to Go hehehe.Very simple, indeed. So his request was granted.
My bother who is also a chicken lover suggested that we bring dad at Max's. Max's chicken is awesome but because we often eat at that place on ordinary days we beg my brother to at eat some other restaurant.
"Dad is celebrating his bday,we must have Pancit Canton".he excused.
In my country, it is a tradition to eat Pancit for Long life.
What is the birthday tradition in your country?

@Iam_jauntyjen Max's pancit is so delicious indeed . I haven't tasted yet one from Savory . But they both have delicious fried chicken which is the kind that my daughter likes - not breaded .

A traditional birthday celebration in our country wouldn't be complete without the ever popular pancit or for some spaghetti. They said that having this in the dishes would give the celebrant a long life ahead of them and so more birthday to celebrate. Happy Birthday for those who are celebrating their birthdays today.
