Are you afraid of earthworms?

The word phobia means persistent and irrational fear.
Some people have a great fear of earthworms
Vermiohobia is the term used for fear of worms.
Their legs will go like jelly and they will scream and panic when they see the wriggling and slimy creature on the ground.
I think they will just drop dead on the spot if the worm touches them.
Normal people like me just can’t understand why they fear such lovely creatures. The worms are so cute and they perform a very important function to give us healthy plants and vegetables.
They’re nature’s garbage disposal and convert the rubbish into useful fertilizers; and they do it in a very environmentally friendly way..

Oh yes yes yes! Just the thought of earthworms make me cringe.

I am not afraid of earthworms, I just find them disgusting....slimy, crawling little creatures. But disgusting as it may seem, they are natures cultivator.

@rymebristol I guess one would be known as disgusting if one were to crawl around and placing slime all over the place!

I just ate a brownie made of them so I am far from afraid. I also catch worms whenever I go fishing.

@LadyDuck Well, maybe not as cute as a fluffy kitten with big blue green eyes but earthworms with no eyes, ears or limbs have a certain kind of "cuteness" in them, in my opinion.

Hahaha When I read the comments I'm glad I'm not the only one. I don't like worms or earthworms... or anything that's slimy and crawls with their bellies. I don't know but I just don't like them.

Im not afraid of earthworms, I can hold them when I use to garden and put them in a safe place because they are benficial to the soil
Somebody already mentioned live bait for fishing, yes I do that too, dig for worms and put them in a plastic container or can

I am afraid of earthworms. They look creepy and ugly. Here when it rains we find more earthworms. I just hate it.
