I was looking out the window this morning and thought that I had seen a squirrel or something on the driveway. It turned out to be a really big bird. Had no idea what it was, but the black and white coloring sent me looking to see if I could find out its name. It turns out that it was a Magpie.
It's a gorgeous bird with the most amazing white splashes of color on the body. Apparently they love to hang up side down. Guess that they have a good sense of humor and like to make other magpies laugh!!

Wow.
We have families of them living in our big cypress hedge.
Have had them hete for 18 years.
They stay all year round.
Never seen them hanging upside down.
They steal other baby birds from nests.
They like shiny things.
Seem to like bread and cakes.
