Majority of the time my boyfriend and I have to compromise when it comes to food choices but today we agreed surprisingly! It's pretty rare for us to agree AND on food that deals with rice since I'm not a fan of rice much..
We settled for chicken katsu and spam musubi.
If you never had either let me explain:
- Chicken katsu is essentially breaded, deep fried chicken cutlet served with the special sauce and for our sides was rice & macaroni salad.
- Spam Musubi is a slice of grilled Spam, rice, wrapped together with nori
Our food was pretty good & filling! We will be having dessert soon.
What did you or will you have for dinner?

@sishy7 Oh yes, I like that touch too so the rice doesn't fall out

@infatuatedbby I was thinking he should have cut the nori larger so they are wrapped around the whole thing like your picture shows... Maybe for the next time he makes them again...

I have never tried Chicken Tocino before.
It is Japanese/Hawaiian inspired.

I don't remember what I had the day of this post
!
I did have pork tonkatsu 2 nights ago
!
My Hawaiian friends are all about Spam musubis. I didn't grow up on that exactly - my mom served spam grilled up and we just ate it with rice.

@infatuatedbby For some reason the flavors go together, doesn't it? Maybe it's an Asian thing (my non-Asian friends think that is completely strange!).

@much2say Haha but I am not a fan of rice =X People think its shocking because I'm Asian! But with Spam, I sure do love rice lol!
