Owing student loans

I owe $67,000 in student loans from being in school for years and years and not graduating sadly enough. Now I am struggling to figure out how to get them off my credit report and getting them all totally wiped out. I heard of the forgiveness programs but I seem not to qualify for them. I did email the company, Navient and now waiting to see what I can do. I have no actual income of my own and no way to pay back. Hmmm....any ideas? Hopefully something will pull through with Navient to help me....

get a job and make a payment plan.
Sorry but I've no sympathy for people that run up a load of debt and try tricks to get out of it.
That just puts up prices for other people.

@sharon6345 pay back what you can...that's fine.
I've no time for those that run up any debts (student or otherwise) and then try to get out of them.
That just puts prices up for others.

I think that you should have a plan to pay that loan. You even can pay slow. But you should express that you'll pay. Then, you'll start to look for how to earn more. We can do if we believe.

I might just leave them. They will come off eventually.

@carebear29 No, they won't. Student loans are one of the few types of debt that will not just "come off eventually."
If you default on them, the government will simply claim any and all income tax refunds you may be due until the debt is gone.

There are many suggestions online. Here is one I found and you can look through others too. Perhaps they'll give you some ideas.
