I was going to write about this sooner, but something came up...
The roomie and I got to the dialysis place for training Friday morning. It was busy since a lot of the "hemo" patients were leaving.
A driver for Metro Access - formally Special Transit - came in looking for his passenger.
"I know you," he said, pointing his finger at me.
Now, I terrible with faces. I really don't ever hardly seem to remember people when they are out of the place I knew them from.
"Did you work at the Health Department?" he asked.
"Yeah," I said, "Vital Statistics."
"BVS! I knew I knew you."
"I retired in '05."
"I left in '06," he replied. "You heard about Geraldine getting walked?" he asked.
"No."
"Yep, they walked her about something years before."
Then his passenger came out and he had to go.
It is like I can't go anywhere without running into someone who knows me.
The roomie is always surprised by how many people know me. Heck, I'm surprised myself. I'm such an introvert that I'm hard pressed to remember anyone.
