So I never even applied for a Kohl's credit card and today I got a credit card in the mail along with my credit line of $300. Like really? How did this work? I didn't even apply. So I talked to Kohl's and they said I applied a while ago and kept getting denied and ever couple months they keep running the application because it stays on file and I just recently got approved. Weird. I am glad I know how to manage my money and make sure bills are paid. Walmart is my main credit card and I been paying on that. Target my husband will be paying so at least Kohl's ain't much either. I see Christmas shopping but only carefully. Weird how they never warned me about it. Oh well. It is what it is...it happens I guess.

Oh wow that's strange they automatically approved you months later after being denied.

@carebear29 As long as you can manage it! If not you can always close the credit card.

@infatuatedbby Right. And if sales on Posh keep going the way they are I will be just fine

Well, I hope them running your card all the time didn't affect your credit, because sometimes too many credit inquires damages your credit.

Yeah I know. I now have 3 credit cards but luckily I know how to manage money well and make sure everything gets paid. Crazy.

You should check and see if they will charge you a yearly fee. If you don't want it, you should cancel it right away. I hate when they do that. The card could fall into the wrong hands and someone could run up a bill that you have to pay.

I have the card personally so I am not worried. I am good otherwise. Spending wisely is all I can do.

@carebear29 I meant that someone in the mail delivery system might open it or it might be delivered to a wrong address and someone else will use it.

I've seen you saying a lot recently about credit cards and my opinion is you're going to get yourself in a load of debt.
Just get one card and build the limit up by sensible use...multiple cards always leads to trouble if you aren't on a high income.

@akalinus I had 6 at the height of my credit use, I have none now.
But then I was earning over £1000 per week and I had it set to pay off each balance in full every month.
I used an airline card to buy flights as I was going over to Ireland weekly and you got discounts and travel insurance.
What I did was put all my wages in saving each month and live using the credit cards, then a day before the balances needed paying there was an auto transfer from savings to current account and the balances were paid off in full...essentially it was free money and I made a profit from credit cards every month.
Just paying minimum balance is what they want as you're making them money.

@Mike197602 That is what I am planning on doing. Making sure the minimum is paid on each card and if I have extra money, I will pay extra on one of them. I do put money I make in my savings to let it build, even my MyLot payments. Thanks for the help and note. It helps.
