Good morning,How are you all feeling? I see people getting riled up for the holiday. Kind of early for me.But I supposed it is smart to start. I have to get through Thanksgiving first and work it from there. Not sure where we are going this year. We never have Thanksgiving at home.Never once how about that. We always have invitation every year. But first we need to get through Veteran's Day. This is a big one for us. Mike is going to find how many when he goes to the homeless tomorrow. Then he will tell them that there are many activities going on with no cost. Some have breakfast.dinner and some shopping. They seems to add more every year. Why not these guys deserved it. Keeping us free.Is your state or town doing anything for our service men? photo mine

As we have no Thanksgiving, the next big celebration will be Christmas. It's too early to start thinking to the holidays.

I know many restaurants give free meals to those in service. Probably other offers that day like reduced prices etc.

Here we always have a big service to honor the veterans on November 11th. I attend every year. It is the least that I can do. They also have a number of another activities for them on that day.

I know there are a lot of discounts for Veterans out here. Veterans Day will be filled with parades - and there are a few parks that have Veteran Memorials - usually a big turn out there.

In the UK we don't have these holidays - our Remebrance Day (November 11th) services are pushed to the nearest Sunday rather than treated as a national holiday which they should really get

My town always has some kind of a meal for the service men and the needy during the holiday months.

I heard about a service for them this morning at the pool. One of the churches is putting on a concert celebrating all the different branches of the service.
