I want to, but...

When I was a teenager I had my own little craft store. I know I have talked about it before on here that I wanted to do a store again, but did not know where to start. I have the supplies, the only thing holding me back is the idea of having to send things out. The price of shipping and such just makes the whole idea tedious. I would love to actually start my store, I made over 100 bucks in a few weeks and that was with not sharing the store much either. Now I know how to be social and get more traffic. But gah the idea of shipping sucks.

If you hate the idea of it find someone who doesn't and come to a business agreement with them. Maybe even look at a bigger picture and make a craft collective in your area...organise it via social media and craft sites then collectively find someone reliable near you all to handle all the shipping.

I have been trying to find like little art shows and such but they all cost money to get a table. And the only problem with this shipping is that shipping costs money and it also costs money to get the packages to send things with.

@DesirousDreamer it all costs but factor those costs into your pricing as every business does. I ran a beyond successful internet business (£20k in less than 6 months) but I just added any costs to the purchase price and I did ok I'd still be doing it now but what I was selling was regulated in the UK so I got out.

I reckon that the more you do the whole shipping thing and learn how to incorporate shipping costs into your products and watch your sales grow the more you will com e to enjoy shipping your stuff all over the place, You should aim to make a profit on shipping every time. shipping is great. repeat over and over. shipping is great!!!
