What do you think about Australia? I am working in an Australian company and though I haven't been to Australia, I would love to visit the place. I know that the weather and temperature there is extreme, but I bet the beaches are wonderful. I saw a lot of weird and extremely big animals/insects living in Australia. Are these only in far places or even in the city? I hope we have an Australian MyLotter who can share his/her experience with the country. Do you want to be visit Australia?

Thanks @hereandthere for suggesting this post. I live in Western Australia. We seem to have had a lot of bad publicity about dangerous reptiles, insects and animals but most of us rarely see these things. We have a Mediterranean climate, much like California or so we were taught at school. We do have great beaches but I think it is quite expensive to live here compared to some places. Please ask if you'd like to know anything else or PM me. :)

Hi Judy! Most of the people outside Australia often associate the place with big and wild animals, specially spiders. My bosses are Australians and they are nice people. Is it hot there in WA?

@chiwasaki It is hot in the summer although here in the south-west it's not as hot as other parts of WA. We might get just a few days over 40C in the summer but mostly it's cooler than that.

Australia is great, but where I was it was a lot like California. Terrain wise. The kangaroos or cool and the koalas are fun. The best I met was a donkey, he was left out but we became good freinds and then we had to leave. Poor guy. He was well fed though. New Zealand is were I want to go to see their forest and meet their native people. Australia when I was their treated aboriginals poorly, It made me a bit upset, heard that changed to some degree.

Of course I want to travel to Australia. It is an attractive country because everything is different from here. And its animals are unique, too. There are so many fun places to explore in Australia.

i think the weather is better in that it's sunnier, even with 4 seasons, but with the beach, you also read about assorted marine life to always be on the lookout for.

A relative of mine lives in Australia. She has a fair complexion but she is a bit tan when I last saw her. I wonder if her tan is because of the weather. It is beautiful anyways. ?
