May Never Take Greyhound Again!

So last night I bought the bus tickets for my son and I to go to Philadelphia and visit my family in December. I decided to buy tickets from the Greyhound bus line since the usual bus line we take takes 2 hours to get to and we have to go through 2 tolls getting there. I was so sure that we would have a good price for the tickets.
When I purchased the tickets I swear it said that the entire price including taxes were $57 all in all. I checked my bank account today and it said the total came up to $71. I am so confused as to where this went down so I checked my confirmation and it says the total is $71 because the tickets were $45 and then taxes were like $26! Why so much for the taxes!? We usually use mega bus and honestly I don't think I'll be sparing the trip to the bus stop again because I save more even with paying for tolls.
Have you ever ridden the Greyhound or another bus line? Which method of travel do you prefer to ride? Bus, plane, car, boat? Which way do you think is best to pay for?

I never bought the bus pass or anything bus related but when I was looking at WWE tickets for my boyfriend to go with my dad (perhaps) since I have no interest. Tickets were reasonable priced BUT they had some sort of non-refundable TAX that was equivalent to a ticket. I thought that was ridiculous!

It is crazy isn't it? I used to like WWE when it was funny. Now it is just so fake.

@IvySaysHi When we hired our motor-home there were all sorts of add-ons we hadn't expected.

Riding Greyhound was my worst nightmare. The last was from LA to Seattle and it was the ride from hell.

I haven't been on Greyhound in years. The fare is so expensive these days. Well, I hope the trip to Philly will be a smooth one.
