What is the most boring store to you? Home Improvement Stores!

United States
November 7, 2016 3:46am CST
The most boring store to me are home improvement stores. I think it's because I don't own a home and I cannot relate to the items. On the other hand, my dad can spend hours in these types of stores. Once I set my feet in, I'm itching to get out! Today, we went to buy some wood and 60 lb cement bags. My boyfriend helped load/unload at the store and home. What is the most boring store to you, and why?

I like "Home Improvement" stores because I like to do plenty of things around my house. For me the most boring are cell phone and telephone stores. I really do not care for those things.

He-he. I have no interest in Home Improvement stores, maybe when I own a home. Hopefully in a year or two. :)

I don't own my current home...yet. I plan on buying it though and I love the home improvement stores. I don't care that I don't own my place I treat it as if I did. My current landlord has done nothing at our place, we have fixed plumbing, rebuilt both the front porch and back deck. The front porch litterly fell apart. We went through one of the steps a couple months after moving in. The back deck the roof was about ready to collapse. It has been a great expense but well worth the effort. I buy plants there and paint. My husband just finished patching the roof this past weekend, again at our expense. At times it irks me, like having to have the septic tank drained, the landlord refuses to do it and it needs to be done, so we will pay the expense. But, I love going to Lowe's and Home Depot and I rarely walk out empty handed.

@infatuatedbby, Our rent is very low for the size of our home and that we are on 3 acres. It allows to fix things as needed.

Wow ! That is wonderful your husband and you enjoy home improvement stores and fixing up the home you're at. That is very nice you're doing all this at your expensive! The landlord of the home should lower rent as you're using pocket money for these expenses! I don't have to deal with septic tanks here though.

I actually like home improvement stores! There's pretty much everything you need to do most home projects - now if only I had the time and money to do all these potential projects! Well, I can go there to look at the materials anyway . The most boring store to me would have to be any of those high end designer stores with the most boring merchandise. I don't know why something like Louis Vuitton comes to mind . . . I see those purses in the window and I don't get the appeal - especially with those prices. I don't even want to go in the shop to look!

@infatuatedbby I like Michaels/Joannes - especially since we can get 40% off coupons for them! I remember wanting brand name stuff during my middle school years - but I never liked the prices. I love shopping too, but I don't like to spend a lot. I just love thrift shopping . . . and admittedly I do excited if I find a brand name item there but for my kinda price .

@much2say I always wait until they have 50% off coupons! I have the mobile app to alert me or when I want to go I'll check. They had a 60% off today that expired but I don't need anything. :) I want to go to the thrift store but I went a few years back & things were so expensive. I could find them new for the price they were selling. Maybe I need to look at a different thrift store

I am not crafty in the home improvement section, but I do like Michaels/Joanns. I guess smaller crafts is more suitable for me than big projects. When I was younger, I love going to high end designer stores. Now, I still drool over them but I can't justify spending. But I do love to go shopping

Fishing/hunting/outdoor types of stores. Also car lots as well are boring to walk around. I only like going into home improvement stores like Lowe's or Home depot. when I am talking about the things I want to be in my future home.

I like dreaming of my future home too but maybe not until another year or two for me. But I am not a fan of fishing, hunting, outdoor stores too. Car lots are boring unless I'm car shopping. But I'm done car shopping since we got that done and over with now.

What was the most boring store to me? I say was because it does not exist now. It was a Shoe Shop that had those awful School Shoes for Girls that looked more like Boys shoes and they lasted you a lifetime. I loved other Shoe Shops that had pretty Shoes for Girls but I really did detest those School Shoes. I liked the Man in the Shop so I tried not to pull my face as he said with a big Smile new Shoes lol. Other Stores I have liked and still like but that was the one I did not. Sorry to go on a bit.

@infatuatedbby Yes he was. He could not imagine how much I detested those awful boy like shoes. I just smiled at him but thinking something else.

I never really gave it a thought. I guess for me it's the toy store unless of course I'm looking for ideas for classroom games or gifts.

True - it isn't something we think about really. Toy stores aren't appealing to me because they're all so expensive but when I find good deals I'll buy some for my niece and nephew. :)

Home improvement stores make me daydream, I don't own a home either but I don't find them to be boring. There's no boring store I can think of, all stores are boring if I'm not motivated or in the mood or whenever I have no cash available (and I'm with someone who is not planning to buy anything).

Hehe I would not freely drive to the home improvement store just to window shop. But if I know I need something it isn't the most happiest place for me either lol

Through the years, I've learned to find a lot of crafting ideas in home improvement stores, so they don't bother me anymore. Offhand, I can't really think of any store I find boring. I think I can find something of interest almost anywhere! lol

I agree home improvement stores unless I need something in the store. And shoe stores. I have very small feet so I don't like going to shoe stores unless I really need some. And sporting goods stores.

Sporting good stores aren't my favorite also I love shoe shopping, but I have average shoe size 7-7.5 so it's always the most searched aisle and the shoes are always a mess!
