I have been listening to old latin american music for my aunt all morning. And it´s incredible how a person that has over 90 years knows songs that were sung when she was a child (Gardel tangos) and mexican rancheras that were written when she was past her youth. In a moment we´ll change to boleros and when Juanita comes home I´ll turn to cumbias. Do you know anything about the music of a whole continent and more?

Music will always be in your memory because there have been tests on the dementia and they still remember songs, music etc. Maybe the music part of the brain hears it so many times and the long term memory ingrained. I have witnessed this myself amazing....there hope for us all.
