Talking to Aliens - Having a nice bowl of Cheerios and banana slices in front of me this morning, I viewed an interesting article that someone posted onto the Internet - all about how to talk with interplanetary "aliens" that had unexpectedly arrived here on our planet. The aliens were said to have 7 limbs ("arms and legs" perhaps), but nothing was said about their way of talking or otherwise sounding off at us. The question, of course was "How do we talk with these "heptapod" people(?), and how do they talk with us? I may not be any sort of language or communications expert, but I have a suggestion to offer to anyone who wants a good answer to that question of "how do we and they talk with each other?" Ask a husband and/or a wife. They manage to communicate with each other even though both speak languages that the other scarcely understands.
