I should have said good morning before. But I´m watching a cooking show while I post and I´m fascinated. Some small children are making pasta with different sorts of pesto. And they are giving me so many ideas to future pestos (one of my staple foods when I have last minute guests) that I cannot take my eyes from it. What makes me wonder is how these so young kids can be such good chefs. Have you seen such shows on TV? Do you like them?

I have watched it a few times with my grand daughter. She likes those shows. It fascinates me how they come up with dishes and are such great cooks at such a young age.

@Happy2BeMe Good for you. My husband had one dish he did to perfection but he needed a lot of help for the small chores

I have heard of some shows where young chefs come and compete. One cooking show I like is Masterchef Canada. Home chefs compete until there is a winner.

@marguicha Yeah, I know they have shows where the chefs are children. It's really impressive that they can do this.

I have not seen the show, but I remember that my cousin started the cooking school when he was only 8 year old and he was a pretty good chef by the age of 11. Now he is a great Chef.

That´s wonderful! And the children look absolutly in charge of the ingredients and the ways to use them.

I usually make it with basil, olive oil and garlic. Today I learned I could add arugule or even blue cheese. Interesting.
