The Neck Saga Continues

My last 2 posts are about neck pain. Since posting I have heard from a few with reoccurring neck pain, either themselves or their spouses. On one of the posts @crazyhorseladycx mentions that her hubby and some of his co workers use Magnesium Oil Spray for their aches and pains. Interesting I have never heard of this. So off to google I went on a hunt for some information on this. Apparently Magnesium applied to the skin in small amounts relieves chronic pain. I also learned that taking Magnesium orally is not the way to go as it's absorbed poorly by the body and doctors who use the oil spray find it absorbs much quicker and better when applied to the skin in the area of pain or injury. Apparently most of us humans are deficient in magnesium in our bodies. I am not a doctor but I will try anything once. Apparently the magnesium comes from an deep underground seabed in Northern Europe and is the most coveted source for naturally occurring magnesium chloride in existence. So I have nothing to lose and am going to order some and give it a try. Some reviews that I have read say they had instant relief, others say it took a week or so. But yea I'm going to give this a go and will let you all know how it goes.

Interesting.. how expensive is it? I might try it myself.. Neck pain is no joke. Once you mess up your neck once, it's never right again. I was in an accident in 2001 and got whip lash. My neck causes me constant problems. It's not like all the time, but I get days where my neck and back start hurting and that causes a headache that leads to a migraine. Anything can set it off. I can't seem to have a headache without my neck and back hurting.. and I don't know which starts which.. if I get a headache for whatever reason and that makes my neck tense up, or if I'm just having a bad neck day so it causes my head to hurt.. or maybe a bit of both.

@crazyhorseladycx When I was working out everyday I didn't have as many problems.. but lately I've been too busy to do much. I do try to do some yoga once in awhile..

if'n ya got whiplash 'n such residual effect results'n such, ya might get'cha one'f those big balls. jest lay 'cross 't fer 'bout a minute 'n that should loosen 'p yer lower back 'n thus 'p to yer neck. not all magnesium sprays're created equal either. some've other ingredients. i recommend the pure, since that what i've 'xperience with.

@katsmeow1213 I seem to have problems with the yoga positions, even when I was young. I wonder if it's because I'm short. I'm only 4 foot 10 lol.

i hope that such does ya well, hon. like i said, the hubs'n his co-workers swear by 't. the hubs'd gotten to where he'd be poppin' 'bout 16 advil tabs a day....which aint good fer nobody. yer correct 'bout the magnesium deficiencies. our foods don't e'en contain the minerals/vitamins they did e'en 15 years 'go. such's been depleted'n the soils.

I hope it works for you. Can you afford a massage by a medical masseuse? Sometimes they'll do a half hour if money is tight.

I am going to have to look into that. I have great insurance but I'm not sure they cover that.

i think epsom salts do that, too, when you soak in it.

Yes it does. But then you are stuck in the tub. This will work without all that. For those times you can't be in the tub.

I used to take a magnesium supplement but the tablets are quite expensive. I hope the oil works for you.

I do too I bought a small bottle for like 7 dollars. Not expensive at all. But I did find sites that charged more.

wow this is fascinating! I may have to give it a try, as well, since my left knee gives me pain every day.

@fishtiger58 I haven't had a lot of time to review this oil, but I see that Amazon has quite a lot of different ones, so I need to read a bit more to figure out which one is the best one to get. But I thank you! I really hope it helps!

I have read a ton of reviews and some have mentioned knee pain and how that oil helps a lot. So yea give it a try. What I bought only cost 7 dollars and to take the pain away that's not much money.
