No school for one kid and day #17 for the other

We got over a foot of snow last night. Due to this my daughters school was cancelled. I got up early to shovel the driveway for my daughter but was very happy to find out it was cancelled and shoveling could wait until much later.
School started today with homeroom followed by science class where the kids learned about the metric system.
Next was math which was reviewing things they had already gone over.
The last class was ELA where the students went over the water cycle and sequence of events.
I made my children lunch and then my son and I did his Vocab, Spelling and writing skills lesson.
At 2 pm was parent teacher conferences. The teachers said my son is doing well and we are doing what we should be as far as keeping up with the lessons etc.
We completed a Science lesson and then took a break to to out and shovel the snow. My son helped then continued to play after I went inside. His cousin who lives next door joined him in playing out there for awhile.
We completed a Math lesson and my son was starting to get really burned out from all the work. We ate dinner and just finished his Art lesson at 6:30 pm. He learned about and painted a color wheel.
I hate how much work the cyber schooling is. I didn't get to spend barely any time with my daughter who was home from school due to the snow day.
The photo I added is looking out my back window.

It snowed a few more inches over night so my daughter had a 2 hr delay this morning. Her brother who does cyber school was mad haha!

@shaggin One advantage of cyber school. Wow, we never have school delays. I never heard of that before the internet. It does seem like a better idea than cancelling the day altogether.
Technically here, school is never closed; teachers always have to report to work. Sometimes buses don't run, or just a few routes don't run (rurual). Sometimes if it is extremely bad ie. ice; classes will be cancelled but school is still open.

Wow that is a lot of snow for the first snow fall. Hope it doesn't stay around too long. Sounds like you had a really busy day today. Glad to hear that you son is doing well at his cyber school.

I hope there is NO snow tomorrow and a lot less work for the cyber school. A friend of mine who lives about 5 minutes from me said she got 15 inches of snow. I don't know the exact amount in my yard but I know it was over a foot. I went out to walk out back to put some food in the the burn pit and the snow covered my boot so I had to shovel a path.

My son has school today but no online classes with the teachers. My daughter has no school as her school is on Thanksgiving break. My son is in a really bad mood about it.

That snow is thick. I think it was good for them not to attend school and stay indoors.

If we aren't very quiet we can't hear all the directions on the online classes we are doing. Those go from 8:15-noon. After that she didn't have to be so quiet but when I spend all my time teaching him it doesn't leave much time for her. We didn't finish all the work until 6:30 and bedtime is at 8. She did have a few projects for school she worked on by herself this morning while we were doing the online classes.

It does sound a very full programme for your son.
