My First Post Card I Sent Arrived in Germany 11-22-2016
I sent out FIVE post cards about 8 days ago to five different countries. Today I got confirmation that the post card I sent to Germany had arrived.
So, now I am eligible to start receiving post cards from other places according to the rules of postcrossings.com. I will be waiting anxiously to see what I will get and from whom.
I really think that I will like this method of exchanging post cards. Each time one of my post cards is received, the person receiving it, is supposed to register it with postcrossings.com and then I will be able to send out more post cards and hopefully receive post cards from others.
I have one ready to mail to Russian Federation tomorrow. I will go to the post office and get the International stamp needed. I need to check my mail there anyway.
Today has been very chilly. I’ve had my pellet stove on all afternoon and evening and I will let it run all night. Hopefully, it is supposed to get warmer tomorrow for a few days and then get cold again toward the end of the week. I don’t care for cold weather at all.

That is wonderful that your postcard arrived. So how long did it take to get to Germany?

Nine days I think. 4,025 miles. Fascinating! The site tells exactly how far the post card traveled.

@Happy2BeMe I really do like this site. It tells you all about everything involved with sending and receiving post cards from around the world. I only wish that I had known about it sooner, like back when I was younger and traveling a lot. I did hear about it a few months ago and checked out the site and thought it seemed complicated. I still don't understand everything about it but it's getting easier to use it.

I love Postcrossing. Won't it be funny if one of us gets the other to send a postcard to!?

That would be highly unusual, but not entirely impossible, if we are both involved, which we are.

It was warmer today and I was glad. I went out for awhile and went to the Post Office to mail two more post cards and then I stopped at the grocery store.

Yes, I do enjoy collecting post cards, but it's not happening very quickly. I've send out several but the only ones I've received so far are from myLot friends, which I appreciate. So far, I have not received any from this new postcard exchange site.
I just signed up for it, so I expected it to take some time to start receiving cards. I guess I'm a little impatient. But, I'm still waiting for some results.
