Grasshoppers are supposed to jump.

A little while ago I was thinking about going to bed. It is midnight and bed is calling me.
As I turned on the lights, I saw a bug moving near the big glass door (the one I call the window for earthquakes).
I checked (no glasses) and the bug moved near the curtains. Leaving the light on, I went to come and get the strongest spray to kill bugs. We have the brown recluse in my city and nothing is too powerful for them.
I sprayed the door in the place where it meets the floor.
And, sorry to have done it, a near dead grasshopper hopped for an impossible safety. The best I could do was to kill it immediatly with my shoe. I could not give it mouth to mouth breathing.
If he had jumped in the first place, as grasshoppers do, instead of posing as a spider, I would have left it alone.
The moral of the story is that we should not disguise ourselves but be true to what we are.

Normally I kill spiders when I find them in the house. Yesterday I found an enormous spider. It was in a dish I couldn't squish it in. I put a lid on the container and dumped the spider outside in our fire pit. It is a long ways from the house and I hope the cold weather finishes off this huge spider.

I thought the poor grasshopper was a spider. I try never to kill bugs that do no harm even if some bother me such as big moths.

@marguicha bugs that invade my house generally do not survive for long. I use a fly swatter to eliminate the flies.

@Morleyhunt I don“t like flies, but veil curtains help a lot in summer.
