...While it's still morning on the West Coast of the U.S., and good afternoon, evening to the rest of you! Happy Thanksgiving to my U.S. friends, and Happy belated Thanksgiving to my Canadian friends. So far this morning I have walked the dog and vacuumed the living and family rooms. Now I'm waiting for the potatoes to be ready to mash. My brother is supposed to pick my Mom and I up around noon or 12:30 to take us to his house for Thanksgiving dinner. There will be my brother and sister in law, her sister, my brother's in laws, my three nephews, and my new "niece", the latter of whom I will meet for the first time today and if I can feed under the table like I used to do with my previous niece (which, for those of you who are wondering both new and old "nieces" are/were dogs). My brother and sister in law's first dog, who they had before my oldest nephew was born, I referred to as my "niece" from the get go 'cause I wasn't sure my brother and sister in law would have any children (yeah, so three nephews later...). So that is going to be my day. I wanted to come in and say "hello" when I could.
