TESCO: Scan as you Shop

so we went house shopping today at tesco and we always use the scanner to track the items that we're buying. it is suppose to be easier to use and convenient when making the payment after getting all the items.
this has happened to us maybe 3 times now that their gadget or the scanner won't transfer all the items successfully to the machine cause it shows an error like 20 or more items not scanned and this time the guy has to scan EVERYTHING!!! goodness!! we could have went straight to the regular counter to scan everything. it is just annoying cause every item was scanned into the scanner but well, the gadget is not working. it was a hassle.

you don't have a scanner gadget in walmart?

@infatuatedbby ohh. We also self check out lanes too. The store just have these scanner gadget that stores info of all the items you're buying then it's meant to be a little bit faster and efficient for customers when they pay but oh well it's just a machine... it doesn't function perfectly.

We have self check out lanes though!

Never heard of this one. I do tend to use the one for Cartwheel which is used with Target and so far had no issues with it but they have to also scan all the items you are purchasing.

Oh that's good.. but i think the scanners that we used needed upgrading or i don't know.

totally! it was such an inconvenience! thankfully, we ate dinner before we went shopping. so we were a little calm.
