Another Way to Pay it Forward

You are more than likely familiar with the concept of Pay it Forward. Do something nice for a random stranger? Pay for the next guy in line's coffee, or drive through, or dry cleaning, etc.? It's a nice thing to do, and is good Karma, to boot.
Want to know a great Pay it Forward way?
Next time you're in a bar, put five bucks in the jukebox before you leave. That's twenty credits for your fellow drunkards to play whatever they want to hear, on your dime.
They will appreciate it. A bar without music is just a bar. A bar with music is worth hanging around, no matter what music is being played.
So come on. Throw a fiver into the jukebox. Everyone will be greatful, and you'll be a Jukebox Hero!

I have seen some do that, but I always feel guilty about using the credits. I learned quick to use them because I found some do not play very good music.

Most people in bars don't. But that's part of what makes dives what they are. Part of their charm, I guess.

@teamfreak16 Indeed, you have to love it, but not at the time, I am sure many say the same thing about my music. Not really, I can usually play to the crowd, but sometimes I say I am going to play some punk rock whether they like it or not. lol. I have learned to find all the acoustical versions and that shuts people up.
That is a good social experiment. Try playing the acoustic version and then the original version or vice versa and watch peoples reactions. Quite entertaining.

@crossbones27 - There is a bar in Downtown Colorado Springs that has a jukebox full of nothing but punk and old country. I love that place.

That is a great idea. I will have to keep that one in mind. Great song by one of my favorite groups.

The idea came to me while I was watching football at the bar.

This is a great idea. I love the concept of paying it forward. We don't often pay out in cash but I like to think we are generous with our time and effort in helping others. I haven't heard much about paying for a coffee or groceries or whatever here but maybe it happens.

An all day bus pass here is four bucks. If all I have is a five, I always tell the driver to put the dollar towards the next person's fare.
