The word 'Philia' is on of the Greek words for LOVE!
Kalimera, Kalimera everyone and here is wishing you a LOVE filled Friday!
There are four words in the Greek language that can be used to describe the sense of LOVE and this is how they are distinguished:
Agápe means "love: especially charity; the love of God for man and of man for God"
Éros means "love, mostly of the intimate passionate kind."
Philia means "affectionate regard, friendship usually between equals."
and lastly
Storge - which is the "love, affection especially of parents and children"
I am off to play my FIRST Corporate Lawn Bowling Tournament today - wish me luck - lets hope all the BANKERS and other Businessmen have fun, while we put in a good practice run! There is BIG MONEY to be won! ha ha ha
Happy Friday
