Where's Rudolph when you really need him?

We had a plan - we were going to head to the grocery store and do the 'normal' shopping while everyone in the area is heading to other stores. That plan is on hold. We are knee deep in fog and the only way our 'sleigh' is leaving the garage is if Rudolph leads us!
It was a beautiful day yesterday, weather-wise for sure. Hard to imagine being outside on November 24th with no jacket and being at the point of putting the air conditioning on. I don't remember a Thanksgiving that warm the 15 years we've lived in Tennessee.
Looks like not only will we have nice weather the next week or so, they promise that we will get rain next Tuesday/Wednesday, up to 4 inches are possible and maybe even thunder storms. We need the rain, we need it badly.
What's everyone up to today? Any brave souls heading the mall?

Maybe the fog will lift up and you can get the grocery store later! It's been nice here too (except for the wind) and supposedly we might get some showers this weekend (we need it!). As for the mall . . . noooooo way - I don't think Rudolph would even want to attempt leading a sleigh through a deep fog of crazy shoppers!!

@AbbyGreenhill Ah, you remind me I need to put the mail guy on our list too! We have malls nearby, but I wouldn't touch it today with a 10 foot north pole!

For us to get to a mall we would have to drive 1 1/2 south or almost that far north. Walgreens had what I wanted...boxes of chocolates for mail lady and hair lady!

@much2say I think I am the only person who gives the mail lady/mail guy a gift. A few years back, at a different house, the mailman and my husband became friends. We always gave him a Bass Pro Shop gift card...our cheap neighbor gave him a lemon pound cake - he hated her lemon pound cake. One year she gave us one and he was right, it was awful!

I hope we get that much rain - we are down almost 2 feet for the year. Ponds/rivers are dry. I think if it does rain I'll go stand outside in it for a while.

@LadyDuck They are warning about possible flooding, but we don't live where that would be a problem. It would be helpful to get some rain back into our pond - which has lost 10 feet of water.

@AbbyGreenhill It has not stopped a minute to rain and it will rain again tomorrow. We have a myLotter who lives in one of the flooded cities of the north Italy, I hope he is safe. I am going to send a PM to know.

We drove back yesterday through some of the worst rain I have seen in awhile, not fog, but could have used Rudolph ourselves.

No way am I going out in the Black Friday madness. There is nothing I need or want that badly. So I am staying home, going out to an early dinner with hubby and son.

We saw just a few cars on the road, two shoppers at the grocery store - a handful in Walgreens and we avoided the shopping areas.

@fishtiger58 The big mall in Chattanooga - gang fight in the mall then outside where shots rang out, one guy who was shot in the arm ran back into a store and then the mall went on lockdown. It was quite a mess...I know one lady who was there and she said it was scary because they had no clue what was gong on and they were locked in the mall.
