Karma

Remember the TV show My Name is Earl? About a petty criminal who discovers Karma and sets about making up for every bad thing he's ever done? There are a lot of ways to build up good Karma. For instance, as I walk down our main street, Manitou Avenue, if I see a piece of trash on the sidewalk, I pick it up and throw it away. This sometimes results in Instant Karma. The other morning I threw away some trash, and about five minutes later I found a dollar in the middle of the street. Karma can also work against you. Back in the 90's, for some reason, a friend and I both stole a beer mug from a bar. The next morning, I discovered my stereo was stolen from my truck. I totally deserved it. Long story short, do good things, and good things happen!

Karma is something I never believed in. Too many people skate through life never receiving their just desserts or a free ride never suffering consequences.

Not everyone believes, but it works for me. I'm an atheist, so I have to believe in something, I guess.

I believe in karma too and it really is strange how some things pan out. Sometimes, like you and friend, you just do a small bad thing and wham! something big and bad hits you.

Yep. I still have no idea why we did that, because I'm not like that.

@teamfreak16 I guess sometimes you just feel you have to break out of the mould.

Karma is a very interesting concept and we all do good and bad things as we move through life hoping for a good balance sheet on the good Karma side.

I don't know if I believe in karma, but I think it's a good idea to do small good things, like pick trash up, even if your only reward is your sidewalk is a little cleaner.
